  • The Fire Collection: Preserving our Stories

  • The creation of a permanent historical record of one of the most important and pivotal events in Sonoma County history is of great importance to our community.  With this in mind, we are collecting firestorm related objects and documentation. From the materials collected, the museum will develop a permanent collection and will curate exhibitions to commemorate our shared experience.

  • To have your object(s), photograph(s), or digital files considered for the Museum's collection:

    -Please complete the form below.

-Submissions will be reviewed by members of the Fire Collection Committee, who will be searching for items that best represent the firestorm experience, story, and intensity.

-Due to the Museum's storage capacity limitations, some large items may not be accessioned.

-If the committee wishes to futher discuss or view your item, you will be contacted within 2 weeks.

We thank you for considering the Museums of Sonoma County as a potential home for your salvaged personal items. With your help, we hope to document and preserve the objects and stories from this tragic event in history.
