• Leadership Reflection Questions

  • Thank you for your interest in serving the Lord this upcoming year as a Leader in Trojan Christian Fellowship. This is a one-year commitment and a unique opportunity for to be developed as you learn what it means to be a leader in the Kingdom of God. Leadership is influence, and influence begins in the ways we surrender our lives to God and choose to serve Him on His terms.

InterVarsity at USC's core vision is ”to see our entire campus encounter Jesus, love radically, and change the world”. Being a part of the leadership team is a way you can participate in this vision. We’re excited to embark on this process with you, as you discern your plans to serve Him perhaps as a leader next year. InterVarsity is a student and staff partnered ministry. Our leadership consists of a team of full time staff, a team of student area leaders, as well as our general leadership body. If you have any questions or need someone to chat with about this, feel free to email any of the staff members.

    Here’s the process:

    • Dec. 4 Submit Leadership Reflections
    • Dec. 5-10 Meet with Staff for Leadership Processing Conversation
    • Dec. 12 Leadership Decisions Made

There are a few different leadership roles you can apply for. Please review the commitments for the appropriate role. All potential leaders must be willing and able to follow through with each commitment on the following document and agree to the doctrinal basis.

InterVarsity doesn’t guarantee a leadership position for every applicant. However, it does guarantee a helpful opportunity to process what God is doing in each individual’s life and an opportunity to vision for what God is inviting the individual into.  Intervarsity leadership isn’t the only way to get involved.  Leadership might not be the best fit for you in this season, but our hope is that you will continue to serve and grow in your walk with Jesus in this community.  Here are other ways to get involved:

    • Join a Community Group
    • Help the leadership team in reaching out to new students
    • Serve at Encounter: Setup/Take-down, Sound, AV, Media, Welcome
    • Serve at Conferences
    • Come out to things - especially as a sophomore
    • Join an Area Team and help out
    • Join Sunday night leadership trainings
