The AFI DOCS Impact Lab, produced by Raben_Impact, is a three-day intensive program designed for filmmakers with issue-driven films who aim to create broader social and political change through the power of story and film.

The 2018 AFI DOCS Impact Lab will be held in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, June 12 and Wednesday, June 13 from 9am - 5pm each day, with a half day for pitching funders on Thursday, June 14th. Travel and lodging for Lab participants will be provided by AFI DOCS. Five films covering a diverse array of issues will be selected to participate in the Lab. Filmmakers will be provided with world-class training by leading advocacy experts and connected with key decision makers on Capitol Hill. By arming filmmakers with the tools needed to create effective impact campaigns, the AFI DOCS Impact Lab ensures that their films inspire audiences, influence policy, and catalyze change.

All films selected for the Lab will screen in the 2018 AFI DOCS Film Festival, June 13-17 2018, and must meet eligibility requirements for the festival.
