• Gleaning Request form

Requests are accepted JUNE15th through SEPTEMBER 15th. Any request after this date may not receive a call from a picker because we have hundreds of requests for apples to be picked by this time. It is very helpful that you know when your fruit is ripe. We cannot collect unripe or inedible fruit like crabapples or other ornamental fruit like tiny plums and peaches. You must attach pictures of your tree, your fruit and the the seeds of the fruit if you have apples to allow us to assess variety and ripeness. Seeds should be displayed on a paper towel and you should have seeds from a healthy apple picked off the tree.

  • All pickers are volunteers.  Their time is limited.  We commit up to 4 man hours of service per viable tree. If we cannot donate the fruit, the picker is not obligated to pick your tree. Donatable fruit is unblemished and has no broken skin.

A picker will be assigned to determine ripeness, donatability and accessibility. Your picker will contact you to arrange a picking time. The more flexible you are with  times, the sooner your fruit will be picked. Once it is picked and sorted, it will be donated to a local non-profit that feeds people.

We typically pick fruit until daylight savings ends and we reserve September, October and early a November for Pears and apples.

If you need fruit picked immediately please consider self picking and donating to one of our many partners.
