Make sure that every question is answered.
  • Scenario:You're the only one at the front desk and you're on the phone with a new patient. A current patient walks in for their reservation and up to the counter.

  • Describe: Your current team.

  • Choose ice cream.

  • Scenario:The schedule tomorrow has quite a few openings. Today is one of those crazy days where the phone is ringing off the hook, the schedule is full, and there's been a few hiccups that have contributed to the chaos. On top of needing to take care of the patients in the schedule today, you also need to restock the rooms and place a product order.

  • If you could wave a magic wand, and change one thing what would it be?

  • Scenario:It's Saturday and you had plans with some friends who you have not seen in awhile, but you get a call from one of your team members saying that they're really not feeling good. They need you to go in today, cover for them, and work the front desk.

  • Scenario: We block schedule. Meaning every type of reservation has a place so we can ensure efficient patient flow. A patient is there to have a crown done, but states that since they're already there, they'd like to get the needed crown on the opposite side of their mouth done too.

  • Scenario: You're checking patients out at the front desk. You heard the hygienist recommending that the patient have laser bacteria reduction, but the patient says "Maybe next time." Once the patient gets up to the front desk, you're asked to schedule their next 3 month periodontal maintenance.

  • Scenario: The office is throwing a patient appreciation event. There's a signup sheet in the breakroom since it's voluntary & unpaid. There's a note that the help is very much needed to make sure the event goes smoothly and the patients have a great experience. When you look at the date you realize that's the same day you were going to something you've really been needing to get done.

  • Imagine: You think that you have a really good idea that would make the new patient experience exceptional. There's a team meeting tomorrow, and it'll be the perfect opprotunity to talk about it. The day comes, and you announce your idea to the team. A few of the team members start asking you questions about things you didn't consider and challenging your idea.

  • Scenario:You're cleaning up a treatment room & setting it up for the next patient. While wiping down the chair, you find a $1 bill on the floor.

  • Story: An employee is on her way to work. She stops by her favorite coffee shop and get's her favorite drink. She takes a sip of the savory drink, and begins to pull out of the coffee shop drive way. Just as she does this, a driver who was not paying attention nearly swipes the front of her car.

The driver in the other car honks their horn and gives her the finger.

The employee, a little shaken up, makes her way out onto the main road, but just a mile down the street is bumper to bumper traffic. There's no other streets that she can take. So now it's looking like she's going to be late.

She pulls out her phone to text her boss about the situation and just before she can write out the full message, a motorcyle cops flashes his lights, and turns on the siren.

She pulls over to the side of the road, he issues her a cell phone ticket.

She get's back on the road & finally makes it to work.
