Please complete and submit this form to register to visit BDEA on the date of your choice. We cap visits at 10-12 in order to be respectful of teachers and students, and to make sure that there is plenty of time to have your questions answered. We also ask that each member of your group register individually when they are certain that they will be able to attend. If you have to cancel your visit, please do so at least 7-10 days ahead of time so that we can give another person or group enough notice to fill in.
Visits will begin at 9:30am with an overview of the school, a description of our programming and mission, and a tour, followed by a conversation with one of our Instructional Leaders about competency-based education and student-centered learning. During the tour, you will have an opportunity to sit in on classes and see our practice in action. School visits end at 12:30pm with lunch with students. Please inform us if you have any food allergies or preferences in the field below.
If you know ahead of time that there are specific departments or staff that you would like to meet, please send an email directly to Lauren Barry, at lbarry@bostonpublicschools.org, and we will do our best to accommodate you. If you have a group of 10 or more, please contact Lauren via email to talk about alternative dates for a visit.
We are located at 20 Kearsarge Avenue Boston, MA 02119. Our parking lot is completely full, so ridesharing apps are your best bet for transportation. There is a parking lot located a 5 minute walk down the street on Harrison Ave, should you need to drive. We are also located a 5 minute walk away from the Dudley Square MBTA stop.
