Thank you for applying to the GIG:Giving Is Good Summer Volunteer Program at United Ability.
The program is open to students entering 8th-12 Grades who are responsible leaders, interested in exhibiting compassion, and learning more about individuals with disabilities. Volunteers are asked to commit to serving a minimum of 32 hours total during the 7 week program period during June and July in addition to attending an orientation session before beginning service.
Volunteers will serve with the Hand In Hand children's early learning program or LINCPoint adult day program located on the United Ability campus on Oslo Circle off of Lakeshore (between Red Mountain Park and Ross Bridge). If accepted, GIGs will submit an expected shift availability schedule and a $20 fee to cover program t-shirt and other costs.
COMPLETE APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY MAY 1. Late or incomplete applications likely will not be considered. Applicants will be notified on May 17th whether or not you have been accepted. If you have any questions, please contact Lee Thrash (205.944.3909 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
