Thank you for your interest in serving on the IAPMD Board of Directors.

Members of IAPMD’s Board of Directors play an important role in advancing our mission and helping ensure the organization remains strong, sustainable, accountable, and positioned for long-term impact.

As fiduciaries of the organization, Board members provide strategic leadership and governance oversight. Directors work collectively to help guide IAPMD’s direction, safeguard its mission and resources, and support the organization’s long-term sustainability.

Board Commitment: 

Before applying, please consider the following expectations:

Strategic Leadership: Contribute to IAPMD’s strategic planning, organizational priorities, and long-term direction.

Governance & Fiduciary Oversight: Exercise appropriate oversight of the organization’s finances, policies, legal and ethical responsibilities, risk, and organizational sustainability.

Fundraising & Resource Development: Support IAPMD’s fundraising and sustainability efforts through activities such as donor engagement, identifying funding opportunities, making connections, participating in campaigns, and strengthening relationships that advance the organization’s mission.

Mission Stewardship: Act in IAPMD's best interests and help ensure the organization remains focused on its mission and responsive to the needs of people affected by premenstrual disorders.

Active Participation: Prepare for and participate in Board meetings, contribute thoughtfully to discussions and decision-making, and take an active role in Board initiatives and committees when appropriate.

Integrity & Accountability: Uphold confidentiality, disclose potential conflicts of interest, and carry out Board responsibilities with integrity, care, transparency, and good judgment.

Time Commitment: The IAPMD Board typically meets every other month on a Sunday between 2:00–4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Board members are asked to commit to a minimum two-year term and to participate consistently in Board meetings and activities.

We welcome applicants who bring a range of professional expertise, lived experience, perspectives, backgrounds, networks, and skills that can strengthen IAPMD and its work on behalf of people affected by premenstrual disorders worldwide.
