  • I'm Katia Silva, the leader of UNBOUND, a fitness training program built on your terms to meet your needs. I’m an NSCA certified strength and conditioning coach with a Master of Science in Exercise Science degree. I take an integrative and holistic approach to fitness. What does that mean exactly? It means my goal is not to make you sweat and to make you sore. Those might be biproducts of the training process we create together. My goal is to help you develop your own definition of strength, health, and wellness, and to help you achieve it.

    This approach to fitness comes from my own fitness journey. When I started training, my goal was to be as strong as possible. This goal was simple, yet vague. It lacked focus and as a result, so did my training. I began to realize that there was much more to fitness than strength training, getting jacked, and lifting heavy. Being fit means having an organized and optimized life for where you are right now and where you want to go. That doesn’t require countless hours spent inside a gym, but rather careful goal-setting and planning. When you approach training like this, workouts become fun, they support nearly every aspect of your life, and you become stronger inside and outside of the gym.

  • We need to work more efficiently and effectively before we can work harder. Therefore, I put how you move before how much you move.

    Every training package begins with an initial 60-minute strategy session during which we assess how well you move as well as map out your goals and training schedule.

    Using the information from our first meeting, I will create your unique 12-week program. Every exercise, the number of repetitions, sets, and total workload will all have a purpose specific to you. Throughout the program, we will communicate to keep you accountable, answer questions, and monitor progress. I will review your workout results at least twice a week and check in with you via email, text, or phone call at least once a week. 

    All programs are based on a three month/12-week agreement during which we will get to know each other, dig deeply into your goals, and master each movement.
