• Positive Response User Registration

    Positive response is a system allows members to communicate the status of locate requests back to Alabama 811. 

    The positive response system allows the excavator to know the status of their locate request; as to whether it has been completed, not in conflict or other information prior to the proposed excavation date. This information is available to Alabama 811 as well as the members and excavators using the WebPortal.

    We hope that the use of the positive response system will improve communication between members’, locators and excavators.  This communication should help to increase safety and reduce the number of unnecessary second notice requests.  

    The locate request responses are publicly view-able as part of the Locate Request Ticket view on our WebPortal.  This public view will show the real-time status of responses submitted by those members who choose to participate.  

    You can access the positive response of a locate request ticket online from any browser, phone or tablet.
