Brown Theatre Rental Assistance Grant Application
The Brown Theatre is pleased to offer a limited opportunity to obtain rental assistance for qualifying groups who produce stage programs in the space. Rental assistance awards may be used for expenses including rehearsal and performance, technical personnel, and other fees as appropriate. Grant Funds will be applied at settlement and can only be used to support facility expenses. See criteria and priorities below.
Assistance of up to $1,000 will be awarded.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received and awarded within 45 days of receipt.
The organization must be a registered 501(c)3 that provides significant service to Jefferson County residents. The organization must have an annual operating budget of less than $300,000. All programs and projects submitted as part of this grant request must be open to the public. Applicants must have a date held or secured on the Brown Theatre's Booking Calendar. Funds may be used only for Brown Theatre expenses. Special considerations are made for programming scheduled May thru August. Funds must be used within 1 year of receiving approval.
Brown Theatre Priorities
Successful applications will address one or more of the following priorities: Organizations and/or projects that serve youth, underserved communities, and/or benefits the community at large. Projects that include new work, new artists, and/or new organizations
Application Submission Procedures
- Please complete the application in full. - An Event Summary (estimate) must be obtained from the Event Services department. - Incomplete applications will not be considered. - All information must be submitted with the original application; once submitted, no information may be added.
Up to 16 grants will be awarded to qualified applicants on a first-come, first-served basis.
