Deadline for application submission is September 30, 2021. Applicant type (girl or adult) is based on Membership type in the 2022 Membership Year (Oct 2022-Sept 2023).
Girl applicants must be 14 years of age or older at the time of National Council Session.
National Council Session is scheduled to be held in-person in July of 2023 in Orlando, FL. Specific dates are not available at this time.
Delegates and alternate delegates will be selected by the Board Development Committee based on their application and will be contacted in February 2022 with the decision.
Alternate Delegates will only attend the National Convention if a Delegate is unable to attend. The Alternate Delegate will then move into a Delegate role.
Adult Delegates will also assume chaperone responsibilities of Girl Delegates.
A school absence letter signed by the Girl Scouts-Dakota Horizons CEO is available for girl elected National Delegates.
Fees: The following costs for elected National Delegates attending the GSUSA National Council Session/National Convention will be paid by the Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons Council:
Hotel accomodations (shared room)
Airfare to and from Orlando, FL
Shuttle fare to and from airport
Elected Delegates will be responsible for potentital out of pocket expenses such as meals that are not provided during the convention and checked baggage expenses.
Unexpired Dakota Dough earned through the Product Program may be used for reimbursement.
