    The Foundation for Second Chances Leadership Program is a 40-week program that focuses on higher education, financial literacy, leadership, social justice, and health. Our mission is to utilize hands on education, mentoring, health awareness, and community service to maximize the potential of youth.

  • Applicants must currently be enrolled in school, be available for the entire 40-weeks, and attend an orientation and interview.

    Leaders will participate in:

    ·       Impactful leadership community service projects that will be in partnership with other community-based nonprofits in Los Angeles.

    ·       Panels and workshops with community leaders, corporations, or nonprofits that will help build important skills.

    ·       Skill building expeditionary trips that will result in students having a better understanding of different cultures.

    ·       Completing vision boards, group projects, and speeches.

  •  Leaders will be selected after review of their application, report card/transcripts, interviews, and references.

  • In order to participate, all students must agree to the following:

    ·       I will attend scheduled sessions and events unless I have a reasonable excuse (school related, family death, or illness are permissible).

    ·       I will have an open mind and accept all cultures and ethnicities I encounter.

    ·       I will be punctual to all sessions and community projects.

     

    Additionally, chosen students will also be required to partake in several trainings, and service projects throughout their educational careers. They will be serving as school and community ambassadors, leaders, and role models.

    Please bring your most recent report card or transcript to orientation.
