    October 9th, 14th, 15th and 18th
  • Some Basics: 

    One camper/form. Recommended ages are 5-13 years for all gender and skill levels. These camp sessions are Wednesday October 9th, Monday October 14th, Tuesday October 15th and October 18th 8:30am-12:30pm(half-day) 8:30am-5:00pm(full-day). We can provide all equipment (skateboards, helmets and pads) free of charge, but campers are encouraged to bring their own boards and pads. Drop off will begin no earlier then 8:30am. All campers must be picked up by 12:45pm unless they are staying for all day camp.  (Campers picked up after 12:45pm will be charged a $20 late pickup fee.) Drop-off begins at 8:30am, no drop-off before 8:30am. Camp will start at 9am with morning stretches.

    Light healthy snacks (fruits, vegetable, nuts, etc.) will be provided each day of camp.  We encourage drinking water instead of sports drinks. The park has a filtered water-bottle fill up station and fountatin.  Allergies should be noted in medical information section below.  

    Lunch will be provided to Full Day Campers at 12:45pm

    Camp Cost:

    Full Day Skate Camp option is avaiable for $60.  Pickup Time for Full Day Camp is 5pm.  Half Day Skate Skate Camp is $40. (Campers picked up after 12:45pm will be charged a $20 late pickup fee.)

    Curriculum: 

    Campers will start out with basic lesson and skill assesments. Based on age, skill level and comfort; groups age 5- 8 and 9-13 will seperate for instruction and free skate.   Campers will explore the skatepark with an instructor to offer lessons and advise in the street course, bowl, and flat ground tricks.  

    Other activities will include, assembling and finding the right fit and feel of your skateboard, decorating your skateboard, shooting and editing a skateboard video.

  • Camper Information

    NOTE: Your child must be at least 5 years old by the start of their camp week. Age cut off is 13 by the start of the 1st day of camp. Depending on age groups per session, campers may be split up into two age groups. (5-8 and 9-13) Siblings or friends that span age groups can be placed togther on request of parents.

    • I hereby authorize and give permission, that myself / the participant may be given emergency treatment including first aid and CPR by qualified Switch and Signal Skatepark staff and volunteers. I also give permission for myself/my child to be transported by ambulance and to be treated by any physician, hospital, health care provider, or other medical personnel selected by the staff of Switch and Signal Skatepark to provide prompt medical services. I agree that once the participant is in the care of medical personnel or a medical facility, Switch and Signal Skatepark shall have no further responsibility for the participant and I agree to pay all costs associate with such medical care and transportation.

      In the event that I cannot be contacted, I further authorize consent to the medical, surgical, and hospital care treatment procedures to be performed for myself/my child by a any physician, hospital, health care provider, or other medical personnel selected by a Switch and Signal Skatepark staff when deemed necessary or advisable by the medical personnel to safeguard the participant’s health. I wave my right of informed consent to such treatment.

    • In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the Switch and Signal Skatepark clinic, program, related events, and activities the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that:

      1. The risk of injury from the activities involved in these programs is significant, including potential for permanent disability and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury to me does exist, and,

      2. I KNOWLINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation, and

      3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If I observe any unusual significant concern in my readiness for participation and/or in the program itself, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately, and

      4. For myself and on behalf of my/our heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin HEREBY RELEASE Switch and Signal Skatepark its officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sanctioned events, sanctioned organizations, volunteers, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners, leasors of premises used to conduct the event (Releasees), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property incident to my involvement or participation in these programs, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

      5. I, for myself and on behalf of my/our heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS all of the above Releasees from any and all liabilities incident to my involvement or participation in these programs, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THEIR NEGLIGENCE, to the fullest extent of the law.

      I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT INDUCEMENT. I ATTEST THAT I AM PHYSICALLY FIT AND HAVE BEEN TRAINED FOR THIS ACTIVITY.

      I assume all risks, and hazards incidental to participating in the activity and do hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify, and agree to hold harmless Switch and Signal Skatepark, their supervisor, participants and instructors for any claim arising out of any injury to myself or the participant.

      I grant full permission to use any photographs, videotapes, motionpictures, recordings, or any other record of me or my child in this program for promotion of Switch and Signal Skatepark.

    • Summer Camp Refund Policy 
    • GENERAL REFUNDS:
      All registrations have a 10% non-refundable deposit of total paid  This non-refundable deposit covers administrative registration processing. If canceling 14 days before first day of camp a full refund will be honored minus deposit. A 50% refund will be issued after 14 days cancellation. Five days or less, no refund will be given for cancellation. Refunds can only be processed (a) back to the original form of payment or (b) as a mailed check or (c) as a credit towards a future camp, classes, or skate passes.

      REQUESTS TO CHANGE CAMP DATE OR LOCATION:
      If for any reason you need to change the week or location of an already purchased camp, this can be done up to 14 days before the start date of both the original and new camp at no charge, as long as there are still spaces available at the new camp. If a request to change camp date is made within 14 days of start date a $20 administrative charge will be processed.

      INJURY POLICY:
      Participants who are injured during Switch and Signal Skatepark camp hours to the point that they can no longer participate, such as a sprain or broken bone, will be entitled to a refund or program credit.  This only applies if injury occurs whle skatboarding during enrolled camp and not during other sessions at Switch and Signal Skatepark, or during any other skateboard or non-skateboard acitivity. 

      PROGRAM CANCELATION POLICY:
      In the event of program cancellation (ie: instructor illness), participants are entitled to a makeup class, program credit, or pro-rated refund equal to the class time that was missed.

      DISCIPLINARY EXIT:
      We do not honor refunds for youth who miss days of skate programming due to a suspension or expulsion from camp due to behavior issues. Refunds in this case will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

      CAMPER CODE OF CONDUCT:

      • Follow all directions given by staff and volunteers
      • Respect fellow campers, ensuring that all participants feel welcome and safe
      • Wear helmet at all times while skateboarding during camp hours
      • Respectfully utilize any borrowed skate gear, ensuring it is returned in good condition
      • Communicate appropriately by not using foul language, gestures, or unfriendly tones of voice towards staff or campers
      • Do not cause deliberate harm of other campers, including pushing, kicking, hitting, or fighting

      Do not leave the group you are assigned, and communicate any needs to your counselors, such as water, bathroom, snack, etc.

      If campers cannot follow these rules, they will be issued a warning and parents will be notified. If behaviors still do not change after a warning, campers may expelled from camp.
