• Graduate & Family Housing Referral Service Private Listing

  • Private Listing referrals are provided at no charge to students, faculty and staff.  We invite Owners and Listing Agents to list their available rental properties with four or less units with our office.

    The listing will be posted at www.uc.edu/housing/graduate-housing.

  • Participation and Terms

    • We accept listing information through the online submission process.
    • All Owners/Listing Agents must agree to the terms as stated below.  Only Owners and their Listing Agents are authorized to submit listings.  Sublets are not advertized on our site.
    • Each listing term is three months.  If you wish to continue the listing for a longer period of time, our office must receive notice emailed to ucgradfa@uc.edu prior to the expiration of the previous three month term.
    • Our site posts listings for properties with four or less total units. 
    • Up to two pictures may be submitted to include with the posting.
  • The Office of Graduate & Family Housing's referral service does not make any recommendations or endorsement and does not constitute an approval by the university. This office does not make recommendations to prospective renters as to suitability, safety of conditions, or opinions of specific geographic areas. Nor does it make any guarantee in regard to the property being rented.

    All disputes are to be handled between the tenant and the Property Manager/Owner/Listing Agent. The University of Cincinnati is not responsible for disputes, conflicts, or problems that may arise from the use of this service.

    Use of the listing services is a privilege granted by the University of Cincinnati with Owners/Listing Agents to abide by the following:

    • Owner/Listing Agent agrees not to discriminate in offering housing on the basis of disability, race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sex, age, sexual orientation, veteran status or gender identity and expression.  Discrimination includes, but it is not limited to differential treatment of any person with regard to application procedures or terms and conditions.
    • Owner/Listing Agent agrees to maintain premises in a safe and sanitary condition, in compliance with local and state laws, and to take reasonable measures to maintain grounds. Owner/Listing Agent agrees to make repairs within a reasonable time after being informed of a deficiency.
    • Owner/Listing Agent agrees to use a written rental or lease agreement and to provide the tenant with a signed copy of the agreement.
    • Owner/Listing Agent agrees to set forth in the rental agreement of the procedure for assessing damages.

    Financial arrangements and obligations are strictly between the Owner/Listing agent and the tenant.

    All properties are removed from the site after three months. If the listing should continue, it is the responsibility of the Owner/Listing agent to notify this office. The referral office should also be notified promptly when a listed vacancy is filled so that the listing may be removed.

    Only property owners or their agents may utilize the referral services of the University of Cincinnati. The Owner or Listing Agent must include their initials to indicate that they agree to the terms set forth in this document.  This service is for buildings or complexes with four or less units.  Listings for units in larger complexes are not eligible to be posted.

  • In return for the use of the listing services of the University of Cincinnati, I agree to abide by all published laws and regulations pertaining to the rental of housing accommodations.  This includes not discriminating on the basis of disability, race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sex, age, sexual orientation, veteran status or gender identity and expression.

    As the Owner or Owner's Agent of the property described on this form, I agree to the above non-discrimination policy and I also agree to abide by the procedure set forth on the listing information sheet.  Failure to abide by these procedures is cause for removal of listings and discontinuance of service for the property owner.  I also certify that the facilities are now and will be maintained according to the most current local and state regulations regarding fire, zoning and safety codes.

    The inclusion of my initials below signifies that I will abide by the terms and conditions set forth in this agreement.
