  • Results: Spiritual Gifts

Here is the spiritual gift(s) you may possess.
  • NOTE:  All your results and gift descriptions will be emailed to you after you hit "submit" at the end of the test.  You can find the descriptions in a document attached to your email.

  • Helps and Service Defined: The capacity to recognize needs and work alongside others to meet their needs. (1 Cor. 12:28; Rom. 12:7)

  • Giving Defined: A divinely given capacity to joyfully and consistently help others advance their spiritual growth typically through gifts of material resources, but can also be gifts of time and talent. (Rom. 12:8)

  • Mercy Defined: The special ability to cheerfully encourage and practically meet the needs of those who are suffering. (Rom. 12:8)

  • Faith Defined: The capacity to see an opportunity for God to work, live with an unwavering trust in Christ through adversity and feel deep conviction that He will move in mighty ways in all circumstances. (1 Cor. 12:9)

  • Healing Defined: Divine enablement to eliminate people’s physical diseases and ailments or mental and emotional burdens through prayer, touch or a command of healing. It may not always need to be demonstrated in a supernatural way, but could also be evidenced through healing skill learned in normal ways given to us by God (examples: doctors, counselors, etc.) (1 Cor. 12:9, 28)

  • Interpretation of Tongues Defined: The ability to interpret or translate other languages that are either known to humanity or perhaps unknown, heavenly languages. This activity would typically take place within the context of church gatherings. (1 Cor. 12:10; 13:1; 14:2, 27-28; Acts 2:8, 11)

  • Teaching Defined: The capacity to discern, explain and describe Biblical truths in ways that help others learn and grow in their spiritual journey. (1 Cor. 12:28; Rom. 12:7; Eph. 4:11)

  • Word of Knowledge Defined: The ability to recall, grasp, explain and apply specific texts of Scripture, typically in unplanned settings, that helps other Christians spiritually grow by knowing God's will in a specific situation. (1 Cor. 12:8) Sometimes this could manifest itself in a supernatural ability to know information about another person's situation that allows the gifted individual to speak specific biblical passages to that person in an uncannily pointed and practical way.

  • Evangelism Defined: The strong desire and ability to effectively present the gospel to unbelievers in a way that moves them toward becoming a follower of Christ. (Eph. 4:11)

  • Prophecy Defined: The ability to understand and communicate a divinely given message to God’s people. (1 Cor. 12:10, 28; Eph. 4:11; Rom. 12:6) This is probably most often seen in the skill to powerfully declare and expound God's will in Scripture to His people in a way that helps them grow in their spiritual maturity. This ability may also include the ability to foresee circumstantial but non-inspired information that helps God's people in some way. This would not include the ability to unveil hidden truths that God wants to reveal to His people (e.g., Scripture).

  • Exhortation Defined: The ability to provide help and healing through words of comfort, encouragement and counsel with the goal of urging believers on to a deeper, more productive life with Christ. (Rom. 12:8)

  • Word of Wisdom Defined: The ability to recall and apply general truths of Scripture, typically in unplanned settings, that helps other Christians spiritually grow by knowing God's will in a specific situation they are facing. (1 Cor. 12:8)

  • Tongues Defined: The ability to speak other languages that are either known to humanity or perhaps unknown, heavenly languages. This activity would typically take place within the context of church gatherings and in coordination with individuals who have the ability to interpret and translate the tongues so the congregation can benefit from full understanding. (1 Cor. 12:10, 28; 13:1; 14:2, 26-28; Acts 2:8, 11)

  • Administration Defined: The special ability to coordinate and organize information and people and offer corporate guidance and counsel to help the Body of Christ work together efficiently and effectively. (1 Cor. 12:28)

  • Discerning Spirits Defined: The ability to differentiate between truth and error, discern if something is from the Holy Spirit or the spirit of the world, sense the presence of evil and have an unusual aptitude for identifying pure motives and impure motives, eventually verified to be accurate. (1 Cor. 12:10)

  • Leadership and Pastoring Defined: The strong desire and ability to provide godly direction and motivation to God’s people so that they grow spiritually and use their gifts to strengthen the church and serve others. (Rom. 12:8; Eph. 4:11)

  • Apostleship Defined: The divine ability to understand God’s missional vision and oversee the development and furthering of God’s plans and purposes, especially in establishing new churches in places untouched by the gospel. Having the gift of Apostleship does not endow the gifted individual with the power, authority, or role of the original Apostles in Scripture. (1 Cor. 12:28; Eph. 4:11)

  • Miracles Defined: A supernatural ability to carry out a miraculous intervention from God. (1 Cor. 12:10, 28) However, the Scriptures do not always indicate that the gift of miracles must be accompanied by immediately obvious supernatural activity. It can also be a type of gospel work enabled by spiritual power that may simply look like a normal human skill, albeit exercised at unusually high levels of effectiveness for God's mission. An example would be Bezaelel's exceptional ability to build the Tabernacle. His normal skill of craftsmanship was raised to new levels of mastery through divine power. (Ex. 31:1-5)

  • You have been given a special gift from God.  You may not fully understand it or know how to use it yet.  But as you start to serve God and others, you will realize how best to use it for God's glory and your joy.

  • Results: Spiritual Gift Roles

This is the gifting role you likely function in for the building up of the Church.
  • NOTE: All your results and gifting role descriptions will be emailed to you after you hit "submit" at the end of the test.  You can find the descriptions in a document attached to your email.

ABOUT THE TERMS "PROPHET, PRIEST AND KING":  These are simply historic, categorical terms in which to bring clarity to your overall spiritual gift mix.  All of the spiritual gifts can fit under one of these three categories.

Jesus Christ is the ultimate prophet, priest and king in that He perfectly possesses all the spiritual gifts as they function under these three roles.

The Church is the Body of Christ and is supposed to represent His prophetic, priestly and kingly functions to the world.  To do this, the Holy Spirit distributes the gifts throughout the Church so that every believer receives at least one of them.

Therefore, the gift(s) you possess will place you in one or more of the three categories of prophet, priest or king.*

*Note:  In your results, it is possible to end up with spiritual gifts from only one of the three categories, but still have a blend of the priest, prophet and/or king roles.  This is due to having a moderate level score for spiritual gifts in other categories, but not high enough to register in your results.  For example, you may end up with the spiritual gift of Helps and Service (a Priestly gift), but have a spiritual gift role of a blend of Priest, Prophet and King.  This means you had a high score on Helps and Service, but also had enough moderate level scores on other spiritual gifts in the categories of Prophet and King.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

Knowing in which category(s) you are most gifted will help you discover how best to function in the Church.

PRIEST: A "priestly" type will be most effective and fulfilled in supportive, caring roles to build up the Church.

PROPHET: A "prophetic" type will be most effective and fulfilled in teaching and communicating roles to build up the Church.

KING: A "kingly" type will be most effective and fulfilled in guidance and oversight roles to build up the Church.
