Hubbard Street Dance Chicago offers rich and stimulating internship opportunities for college and graduate students seeking experience in administration, development, education, arts management, marketing, production, and videography.
Hubbard Street provides interns interested in dance and arts management the experience of working behind the scenes in one of the world’s leading contemporary dance companies. Interns have the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge of arts management while working closely with the staff and artists of Hubbard Street.
Hubbard Street Dance Chicago interns are integral members of the organization. Interns receive an e-mail address and extension, and are entrusted with a number of challenging responsibilities. Interns work with Hubbard Street’s administrative and artistic staff to build knowledge, experience, and confidence in arts management.
Interns have the opportunity to work at the theater when the company is performing in Chicago’s Harris Theater for Music and Dance, and see company performances. While these positions do not offer any financial compensation, unless otherwise noted, all interns are welcome to take an unlimited number of free classes at the Lou Conte Dance Studio.
