    AAQG Quiltfest is not a juried show.  All submitted quilts are accepted.
    After submission. you will receive an email from Jotform.com. Keep this email for your records.  

    What you need before beginning this form:

    • Quilt Dimensions: Measure your quilt (height and width) in inches.
    • AAQG member number (if a member). Login to AAQG.org and View Profile
    • Digital photograph of your quilt (jpeg, gif, png, bmp, png, or heic formats.) 
    • Quilt design source information, e.g., pattern name, author, etc.

    Size definitions are listed below. Refer to Quilt Show Procedures for full category descriptions and size requirements or to Category and Size Table  for a simplied table. 

  • QUILT SIZE DEFINITIONS

    • Large Quilt: Height plus width must be at least 161 inches, may not exceed 240 inches. If taller than 87 inches, follow hanging instructions in Quilt Show Procedures, Rule 10. 
    • Medium Quilt: (Category 350) Height plus width must be at least 121 inches, and may not exceed 160 inches.  
    • Small Quilt: Height plus width must be at least 30 inches, and may not exceed 120 inches.
    • Miniature: Height plus width may not exceed 48 inches; if blocks are used, maximum block size is 5 inches.
    • Art Quilts Large: Height plus width must be at least 75 inches and may not exceed 240 inches.
    • Art Quilts Small: Height plus width must be less than 75 inches.

  • QUILT HANGING

    • Hanging sleeves may only be placed at the TOP of the quilt.  The quilt may NOT extend above the sleeve (except for the binding). 
    • All quilts require a 4-inch hanging sleeve, except Small and Miniature categories which require a 3-inch sleeve.
  • Below please provide specifics about special hanging requirements, if any.  AAQG does not provide special hardware or devices required for special hanging needs.  Their provision is the responsibility of the quiltmaker.  Limited to 30 or fewer words.

  • QUILT PHOTOGRAPH

    A color photo must accompany each entry form, not exceeding 25MB. Accepted formats are jpg, jpeg, png, and heic (Apple). 

     You may submit a photo of your in-progress quilt if it clearly shows the design elements and category.

     If you can't upload a photo, click "Save" at the bottom of the form to save your progress. You’ll receive an email from jotform.com with a link to complete your submission later.

  • JUDGING AND SILENT AUCTION

  • AAQG offers quilt judging with non-monetary awards and potential feedback on design and technique. View the judges for QuiltFest here.

  • Silent Auction

    AAQG holds a silent auction each year to benefit the Guild and its mission. The auction occurs during QuiltFest.  

  • Release Image and Attestation Statment:

    Images of all entries may be made for AAQG archival purposes. AAQG, as a non-profit, may use quilt images from QuiltFest to raise funds for its goals and purposes. Quilts will be credited, but no compensation will be provided for these uses. No quilt pattern will be produced without written permission.

    All information about my quilt's creation, including design details and influences, is accurately reflected in the entry form. By checking the box and/or submitting this form, I agree to allow AAQG to use images of my quilt and certify the accuracy and completeness of the provided information.

  • Release of Liability Statement:
    I understand that AAQG will NOT provide insurance to cover any damage to my quilt while my quilt is in the possession of AAQG QuiltFest. By checking the box below and/or submitting this form, I release AAQG from liability for damages to my quilt.

    Please understand that entering QuiltFest 2024 requires that you agree and adhere to the Austin Area Quilt Guild rules, terms and conditions for entry.  All rules, terms and conditions may be found in the Quilt Show procedures document

  • SUBMISSION AND PAYMENT

  • Membership

    Members and non-members may enter QuiltFest. The entry fee is $15 for members and $45 for non-members.

  • Appraisal

    Appraisal will be provided by Marcia Kaylakie, an appraiser certified by the American Quilter's Society. Part of the proceeds are donated to the guild for educational and charitable purposes. Written appraisals will be provided approximately 3-4 weeks after the show. An appraisal costs $65.00

  • PAYMENT

    AAQG requires you to PAY ONLINE. 

    Payment online is limited to PayPal. You do not have to have a PayPal account to use PayPal.  You may pay with a credit card when using PayPal. 

    To pay with a credit card using PayPal:

    a) Simply click on the "Pay with Debit or Credit" buttton.  It takes you to a screen that requires you enter your email address to identify you as a payee then,

    b) a second screen in which you enter your card information.  

    Note:  If the PayPal page doesn't work, a required item on the form was NOT completed.  Please check to see all required items are completed.   

  • A Thank You and Congratulations screen will appear after a successul submission.

    If you don't see that, your submission was NOT successful.  Almost always, this is because a required item was MISSING.  

    Go BACK and check for missing item errors (in RED).  Fix those and then submit.
