  • Expectations of NWMMB Board Members

     
    Serving as a Board Member of NWMMB allows each member the opportunity to contribute to the mission of an organization that provides important services to our community, to meet and form relationships with community and business leaders and to work side-by-side with these leaders. Board members serve as unpaid volunteers and bring with them relevant professional experience or needed skills.

     
    The NWMMB Board Members:

    • Will provide a completed application to be considered for election to the NWMMB Board.
    • Will commit to serving a two-year Board member term.
    • Will make a yearly financial contribution to NWMMB (set by the Board each year).
    • Will be responsible for following the by-laws of NWMMB in regards to their service to the board including, but not limited to, attendance at meetings and events, orientation, participation in committee work, and contributing time and talent to NWMMB.
    • Will attend all training sessions including, but not limited to, Board Orientation and Yearly Board Retreat.
    • Participate in surveys regarding their experience regarding Board service.

    The NWMMB Board meets in-person every other month for two hours and distributes written materials for review on alternating months. Project and committee work requires approximately 5-10 hours per month from each Board member.
