By registering for this mission trip with Faith Ministry we are affirming that we sense God’s call to serve His people in Mexico. Therefore, in response to God and to his Church, we agree to the following:
We {groupchurchName} agree that we will abide by the covenant as outlined below during our visit to Mexico with Faith Ministry/Ministerio de Fe.
We, as servants, will respect God’s people and property and will work as the hands and feet of Christ to build God’s kingdom with our brothers and sisters in Mexico.
We will respect the church property by refraining from the use of alcohol or tobacco products. No drinking or smoking is allowed on or around Faith Ministry property. We are not only working as God’s servants, but we are setting an example of respect for those who live around and visit the complex.
We understand that underage or inappropriate use of alcohol and any illegal drugs is unacceptable. We understand that discovery of this use may result in immediate departure of the users.
When attending activities in the church sanctuary, we will conduct ourselves as we do in our own church sanctuaries, remembering that we are in God’s house, and it is holy. Use of the sanctuary for special group services or activities will be scheduled and approved in advance by the Executive Director.
We will show respect and fellowship to other groups who may be sharing dormitory space within the church complex or clinic. All groups have the same mission when in Mexico, and it is a blessing to share experiences with each other!
We will remember “safety first” during our stay and will keep our doors locked at night and while we are away from our living quarters. We will notify our group leader if we choose to leave the complex, and if we do leave, we will travel in groups of three. It is required that a Faith Ministry staff member accompany any activity outside the complex or clinic. We have read and agree to comply with all the safety guidelines put in place by Faith Ministry.
We will visit our Mexico brothers and sisters in the common areas of the complex and will not invite or visit with them in the living quarters or the second floor. Only Mission Work Group team members are allowed on the second floor and any other living space.
We will remember the Mexican culture with respect to our clothing and will wear respectable and appropriate clothing for work and for church.
We will remember that any donations should be made through the Faith Ministry office and not be given directly to families or individuals in Mexico. The Faith Ministry office will provide a receipt to you for your donation and will ensure that the funds are distributed as instructed by the donor.
We will remember the bathroom rule regarding toilet paper and other items that should not be disposed in the sewer system. Do not flush any paper items!
