OWNER RELEASE AND DONATION
Please have signed: Two (2) copies of the Owner Release & Policy Statement (retain 1 copy & leave 1 copy with owner)
Please leave the Letter to Owner which will help them understand the process of releasing their dog to GBR.
Please collect any donation the owner is making. Be sure to note the dog’s name on the check!
Fax or scan a copy of the Owner Release form to the appropriate Intake Manager as soon as possible. Then mail the original Owner Release form and donation check to the appropriate Intake Manager.
If you are asking for a donation, you can use the following script:
"I am sure you understand that we incur expenses for each dog we take into our program. To help offset these costs, we ask each person surrendering a dog for a $300 donation to our organization. The donation is voluntary, as is the amount, and is tax-deductible. We do not turn down a dog if a donation is not given."
If asked what expenses we have:
“We must transport, feed and provide foster care for each dog. We do medical evaluations and provide each dog necessary veterinary care, vaccinations and medications. Some dogs require neutering or spaying and occasionally special surgery. Golden Bond Rescue has no paid staff. All donations are used to care for dogs, prepare them for adoption, maintain our website, and pay for expenses any volunteer organization incurs. The average cost per dog taken in by GBR is about $800.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUPPORTING GOLDEN BOND RESCUE!
