In accordance with part of our union’s mission—to fight for racial justice and for immigrant rights—SEIU 503 may provide one-time financial assistance of up to $725 to members and members’ families who are facing financial hardship because of their immigration status.
This assistance may be available to active members in good standing:
Who find themselves, their spouse, or a member of their household in immigration custody or facing deportation.
Whose children have been separated from their parents and are being cared for by family members.
Who wish to advance their immigration status but who do not have the means to pay for the necessary filing fees.
Immediate family members may apply on behalf of an eligible applicant identified above.
